The suspension system is featured with a continuous backpanel of lightweight mesh which extends from the top to the hipbelt. This helps in providing great ventilation too. Also, it should help the pack fit perfectly on your back as well.

Further, the netted support system helps to ensure that the back of the pack never touches your back. This is definitely a feature you should invest in if you sweat a lot.

Stow-on-the-go trekking pole attachment – The bag stove-on-the-go trekking pole attachment allows you to stow your poles away which is useful when you are on steep terrain or when you need to go hands free.

Adjustable harness & Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt – With both the adjustable harness and a hipbelt which you can easily maneuver with, you will be able to dial into perfect fit with ease.

You can utilize the zippered hipbelt pockets by keeping snacks and smaller items nearer to your hands too.

Do take note that the hydration reservoir is sold separately, and you can get the Osprey Hydraulics LT Reservoir here.

No raincover included – The backpack does not come with a rain cover. You need to purchase it separately, and you can get the Osprey Ultralight Raincover here.

Stiff Hipbelts – If you go on an extended trip with a new backpack, you may feel a certain discomfort especially at the edges. Since this area is unpadded, it may create a pressure point that cause discomfort throughout your journey.

My Thoughts

Made for Weeklong trips – The Osprey Atmos/ Aura Ag 65 come with incredible Ant-gravity comfort and other robust features which help you get ready for a successful weeklong trip.

The features of the bag such as the stow-on-the-go trekking pole attachments and flapjackets are meant to make your country hike a breeze.

The adjustable harness and hipbelt can help ensure that the pack fit securely onto you too. This makes it one of the backpacks with great fitting and comfort.

Solid for backpacking – This backpack is solid enough to withstand long-distance travel. The quality is amazing, the bag feels comfortable and it’s made to be breathable. The many adjustments that comes with the bag allows you to fine tune the fitting of the bag too.

The awesome storage and organization of the bag helps make your trip more fruitful too.

It looks awesome – Besides beating all of the competitor brands, the backpack looks really cool.

Feels Really Light – If you compare the Osprey Atmos/ Aura Ag 65 with other backpacks, although both packs put on similar total weight, but the Osprey Atmos/ Aura Ag 65 will feel lighter.

This means that even after long hours of hiking, your back wouldn’t feel too sore if you use the Osprey Atmos/ Aura Ag 65.

Although the backpack sits away from your back, it still bugs against your body really well.

Ideal for Hiking – With all the features, the backpack will definitely be able to give you the confidence to hike even the most challenging mountains. After putting all the essential gears, you may even have extra room in your backpack too. The backpack wouldn’t feel too heavy because the anti-gravity system helps to distribute the weight properly.

It may even be considered superior against any of its competitors. Why do I say so? The webbing on the back helps keep you cool while hiking and the straps provide ample support around the waist and chest area.

Suitable for tall people – The backpack has an adjustable frame that can be adjusted to fit taller people.

Really well-built – The backpack is really well-built. Even after you abuse it through extended hikes, it will be able to withstand the wear and tear. You will be surprised at the durability of this backpack.

Great organization – The Osprey Atmos/ Aura Ag 65 comes with many pockets, lash points and gear loops. To make things really clear, I will list out all the available pockets on the bag:

– two zippered pockets in the top lid

– two mesh pockets on the side of the backpack (which you can place water bottles)

– a sleeve for water reservoir

– a large mesh stuff-it pocket located in the front of the pack

– a sleeping bag compartment

You can put large items into the large mesh pocket on the front. The other areas are meant for smaller sized items.

Pros

  • Best anti gravity suspension system in the market
  • Pockets are strategically placed

Cons

  • Backpack is quite heavy
  • The looks would not fit well in the crowd
